Shariah compliance

The Shariah Council is a department that ensures adherence to the principles of ethics and integrity when making business decisions within IMAN. Any resolutions concerning business procedures must be approved by this Council.

Compliance of IMAN company's business processes with Islamic Finance principles was confirmed with the certificate by the USMANI'S financial consultancy company and Dr. Mufti Hassan Ashraf Usmani, a son of Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani.

About the scholar:

Dr. Mufti Hassan Usmani is one of the famous scholars of Islamic finance and jurisprudence. He is the founder and president of USMANI'S, a financial consulting company operating in Turkey and Pakistan. He is also the son of Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a world-renowned scholar in the field of Islamic finance, chairman of AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization of Islamic Financial Institutions).

Education:

Dr. Mufti Hassan Usmani is a scholar with a PhD degree in Islamic finance and graduated as an Ulama (Alimiyaah degree) from Jamia Darul Uloom in Pakistan, specializing in Islamic law and fatwas.

Experience:

- Shariah Board Member at Faysal Bank in Pakistan;

- Shariah Advisor at Atlas Asset Management company;

- Head of School of Islamic Banking and Finance at Greenwich University;

- AAOIFI working group member who is engaged in writing AAOIFI standards;

Dr. Ziyad Mohammed, Head of the Shariah Council, is an advisor on Islamic Law.

Dr. Ziyad is responsible for issuing a fatwa to ensure the accuracy of financial processes and conducting an annual audit to assess whether business operations are in accordance with fair financial standards.

Education: PhD in Islamic Finance, INCEIF, Anglia Ruskin University.

Experience: 20+ years in commercial banks (HSBC Amanah) and consulting firms.
